Deepal Nevo Q05 Crosses 100,000 Sales in China Ahead of Nepal Launch
The Deepal Nevo Q05 has crossed 100,000 cumulative sales in China ahead of its arrival in Nepal, marking a strong start for the electric compact SUV. Changan announced the milestone on August 11 after the Q05 recorded 18,871 units in July 2026.
Launched in China in November 2025, the Q05 has now remained the country’s best-selling compact SUV for four consecutive months. Sales rose from 4,452 units in January and 3,852 units in February to 12,602 units in March, 15,814 units in April, 15,954 units in May and 18,908 units in June.
The Q05 competes in China’s RMB 100,000 electric SUV segment, offering a 2,735 mm wheelbase, CATL battery cells and 3C fast charging. The system can charge the battery from 30 to 80 percent in around 15 minutes under suitable conditions.
MAW Vriddhi, the authorised distributor of Deepal electric vehicles in Nepal, is preparing to introduce the Deepal Nevo Q05 in Nepal. The company has not yet disclosed the Nepal-specific pricing, variants or specifications.
The Q05 made its global debut at the 2025 Auto Guangzhou Show as Deepal’s first global all-electric compact SUV. Positioned in the same segment as models such as the BYD Atto 3, it measures 4,435 mm long, 1,855 mm wide and 1,600 mm tall, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase.
The SUV features Changan’s Digital Wing 2.0 design language, with split LED headlamps, flush door handles, a full-width rear light bar and an active air intake. Higher variants get a roof-mounted LiDAR unit, while the design recently won the 2026 Gold A' Design Award.
Power comes from a front-mounted electric motor producing 120 kW and 190 Nm, with a top speed of 160 km/h. China-market versions are available with 40.3 kWh and 51.9 kWh batteries, offering claimed CLTC ranges of 405 km and 506 km, respectively. Nepal-specific figures are yet to be confirmed.
Inside, the Q05 gets a 15.6-inch 2.5K touchscreen and 10.17-inch digital instrument cluster, along with Apple CarPlay and HiCar connectivity. Higher variants feature Deepal’s Tianshu intelligent driving system, which combines LiDAR, 11 cameras, three millimetre-wave radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors.
Other premium features include heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, a reclining front passenger seat with a leg rest and 256-colour ambient lighting.
With sales crossing 100,000 units in less than nine months, the Q05 has established strong momentum in China. Its potential arrival in Nepal comes as the country’s electric SUV market continues to expand.
The Deepal Nevo Q05 will its Nepal debut at the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2026. The 18th NADA Auto Show 2026 (The Golden Jubilee Edition) is scheduled for August 25–30, 2026 (Bhadra 9–14, 2083) at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Complex, Kathmandu.
